Amanda R. Evans

Bio

After starting my teaching career at WSU in the late 90's, I also taught at Friends University, El Dorado High School, and worked as an Instructional Designer and writer in corporate online education before joining Independent in 2006.

Education

I hold a B.A. in English, a Teaching Certificate,

and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from WSU.

I'm currently working on my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership

from Southwestern College.

Personal

My husband and I own a Certified Tree Farm / Family Forest in Chautauqua County, Kansas, where we spend many of our weekends. We love spending time outdoors, especially with our daughter, who is now in middle school. Our family lives in Wichita with our tuxedo cat, Boots.
