A 5th-Generation Kansan, I've been teaching English in the Wichita area for over 20 years. I've taught in private and public high schools and universities, and have worked in corporate online education. Currently, I'm working on my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at Southwestern College. I also hold an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, Poetry, from Wichita State University. I am dedicated to helping students find their voices and think critically in a complicated world.

As the advisor for our literary magazine, Echoes, I am proud to say our students have won awards from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) for the past 15 years, usually earning one of the top 3 or 1st place magazines in the state of Kansas. So proud of these young writers, artists, and designers!
